Hectic days of work have become a common aspect of my schedule, and the only break that I have are weekends. This is the time when I just want to let go; let go of the stress, deadlines and pressure. I consider it to be the best time to rejuvenate and prepare myself for the upcoming challenges of the week that I'm about to face. And when it comes to relaxing or unwinding then there cannot be a better option than weekend trips.

It is the ultimate reward that you can gift to yourself after weeks of strenuous workloads. Interesting thing about this trip was it was not a solo trip, rather I had my friends to make it a happening one. Since, I'm new to Pune I have not visited many places yet, there were so many attractions, stories and surreal places that were waiting to be discovered. One fine day, when I put forward the idea of the trip to them then the first unanimous reply that each one of them gave is- we have to go on a road trip to Mahabaleshwar.

So, the destination was selected. But that is not the only thing that can transform your trip into a happening one, the next topic on the list was which hotel to choose? My friends provided tons of suggestions about hotels in Mahabaleshwar but we were not able to consider a particular one, so we decided to take a little more time for gathering information the hotels, so that we could go with the best amongst the best.

We wanted to stay at an exotic hotel, something that is known for its luxurious hospitality and surreal environment. Though it was a tough call, but at last our search came to an end with the Fountain Village, Mahabaleshwar. This hotel is 120 Km away from the Pune railway station.

When the weekend arrived we were already to make the most of this amazing trip. Driving along the green lanes, amidst the might valleys brought back the memories of those good old times when I used to travel with my family.

After hours of driving we finally reached our destination, and trust me it was love at first sight. The ambience that the hotel exudes is phenomenal, and if you are a nature enthusiast like me then you are going to cherish it till your heart's content.

Enjoyed well in sightseeing places

The hotel is located at the vicinity of main market and encompasses some of the beautiful attractions of the city. Mapro Garden, Elephant’s Head Point, and Lingamala Waterfall to name a few! We had the most memorable time at these three places, we were thankful to the hotel who suggested these three interesting places in Mahabaleshwar.
